Railroad Crossing

A cross sign means you are approaching a railroad crossing.

When you see a crossbuck sign, you must:

• Be prepared to obey traffic controls on the railroad tracks. 
• Slow down. 
• Look and listen for approaching trains. 
• Only cross the track if you have enough room to get over and out of the way.
• Always let trains pass before crossing the tracks.

• Near railroad tracks. 
• Near railroad tracks in crowded areas with lights and stop arms. 
• Near railroad tracks in rural areas without rail control systems.
